Retirement, so far

We closed my commercial pottery business at the end of 2024, and to be honest, not much has changed.  I am still making pots regularly – more large pieces and fewer mugs and bowls.  I’m working at a somewhat slower pace.  I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the new work, or even how much of it will make it through the whole glazing and firing cycle.  But I’m having fun!

We ended 2024 with a big clearance sale, so I have very little finished work on hand here.  It was great to send so many pots out into the world.  But I still have pots for sale at Noon Whistle Pottery, Crozet Artisans Depot, Cville Arts and the Alderson Gallery.

I’m no longer teaching classes and workshops, but still have an online class through TeachinArt.

Here are some of my new pots.  The footed bowls (planters?) are a direct steal from my friend Sylvia Dales, the lamp is a familiar form.
