I had a lot of fun these past two weekends teaching workshops.\u00a0 The first was at the Reston Community Center pottery.\u00a0 It was my first visit to that studio – what an excellent facility!\u00a0 Everyone enjoyed making two-part pieces and playing with wiggle-wires and texturing.\u00a0 Then last weekend was a one-day workshop focused on Lamps at Round Hill Arts.\u00a0 I was struck by how clean and well-organized both places were.\u00a0 And reminded how well potters tend to get along with each other.\u00a0 During both workshops, participants shared space, equipment with great generosity.\u00a0 Everyone jumped in to help with cleanup.\u00a0 Both workshops fostered a great exchange of information and ideas.<\/p>\n
