Nelson County, where we’ve lived and worked since 1978, is a beautiful place!\u00a0 We’re about 25 miles southwest of Charlottesville, Virginia, next to the Blue Ridge Mountains.\u00a0 If you want to come visit, I suggest you follow these directions<\/a>, instead of relying on mapquest.\u00a0 They will get you here by way of a long, winding, narrow gravel road.\u00a0 It’s an adventure, to be sure, but not the easiest route!<\/p>\n

If you come from afar, here are some suggestions on places to stay, listed in order of distance from the studio, plus a few suggestions on local wineries and restaurants, and places to visit.<\/p>\n
